Our Facilities
The Cartersville Parks and Recreation Preschool program, directed by Rob
Oster, is a comprehensive developmental motor skills program which includes
spatial awareness, group interaction, and specific learning experiences in
direction-taking.  The program is designed to teach children creative ways to
move, explore their surroundings and develop muscle control and
coordination while having fun.  It is designed to increase balance, flexibility,
and strength.  Our goal is to assist the child in responding physically to
verbal cues.  These directions will increase the child's awareness of his or
her personal space and physical capabilities.

Building your child's confidence and self-esteem through a fitness-oriented
program is of high priority to us.  Realizing that this may be your child's first
significant exposure to "school", we make a consistent attempt to provide a
positive experience. By keeping the student to teacher ratio low, effective
instruction and care for each child is insured.
The mission of the Twisters is to provide competitive gymnasts with
opportunities for social and physical development in an atmosphere of
sportsmanship, through a well managed program that is professionally staffed
by the Cartersville Recreation Department and parent supported through the
Twisters' Booster Club.
