Galyna was born in the Ukraine were she was an elite level gymnast.
In 1974 she graduated from the Moscow State College of Physical Culture
and Sport. With having 35 years coaching experience, Galyna coached
Liliya Podkopayeva in the 1996 Olympic Games were Liliya won a Silver
medal on floor & Balance Beam and was an Olympic ALL-Around
Champion in 1996 in Atlanta.
The State committee on sport and Physical Culture awarded Galyna with
the title of “Honorary Coach of the Ukraine” The President of Ukraine
presented her with another title of Honorary Figure of Physical Culture.
Galyna has worked for Cartersville Gymnastics since June, 2006
